Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Class A Driver. The role focuses on transporting and unloading products to customers, with daily customer interaction to resolve issues.

Reports to the Fleet Manager and requires safety consciousness and flexibility with shift times. Responsibilities include loading/unloading glass and metal products, ensuring load security, performing daily vehicle checks, and maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be in compliance with all DOT requirements, including Medical Examiners Certificate.
• Good customer relations and people skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes and delivery schedules; use a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Handle and unload glass and/or metal products; load securement; pre/post trip vehicle checks; multiple deliveries.
• Unloading may involve loose, crated, racked glass/metal; operate boom cranes as needed.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies; maintain safe operations and attendance.

What You’ll Get to Do

TheClass A Driveris focused on the responsible transporting and unloading of product to customers, while interacting daily with customers to help resolve any issues that may arise and reports to theFleet Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual whois safety conscious & self-motivated and flexible with shift start and end time. A vital member of theFleet Department,this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Day to day activities will consist of handling and loading/unloading glass and/or metal products, load securement, daily pre and post trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service
• Unloading could include handling loose, crated, and racked glass, metal and associated products, as well as, operating boom cranes
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules,are essential functions of your job.
