Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL driver to join our on-site team in Maryland. You will load, inspect, and deliver building materials, following DOT safety procedures and wearing PPE.

Ideal candidates have at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience, can lift up to 75 lbs, and work well independently or with a dispatcher. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and manual transmission trucks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks requiring heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs).
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
