Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a driver to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and construction sites using a tractor-trailer. The role involves pre/post-trip inspections, customer service, and weekends may be required based on business needs.

Base pay starts at $28.00 - $30.00 per hour with a sign-on bonus of $8,000. The site is Caldwell, ID, with some local deliveries and a Sunday–Friday shift. Full-time benefits apply from day 1.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarps and strap loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to work independently or with a team.
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Commitment to safe driving and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report repairs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load/unload truck using equipment as needed.

JOB DETAILS

Shift: Sunday - Friday,

this position will primarliy be over the road with some local deliveries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top‑notch customer service. This is a hands‑on delivery driving position some Weekends may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
