Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to join our team in a full-time, on-site role. You will responsibly transport products from the distribution center to customers, unload and deliver per invoices, and maintain safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license in good standing.
• Minimum 6 months Class A driving experience.
• Ability to work in the United States and be 21+.
• Lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Experience with MHE equipment is helpful.
• Experience delivering to food service accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obey DOT rules and safety procedures.
• Interact with customers professionally.
• DSD deliveries, break down products and shelf stock at stops.
• Drive multi‑temp trailers and manage offloading with equipment.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and collect invoices.

Shift Schedule:

• Combination of shuttle and route delivery.
• Monday through Friday every other week. Tuesday through Friday on the alternating weeks.
• Start times range from 3:00 am - 5:00 am
• End times range from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Job Purpose and Overview

As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will support our customers by safely and efficiently transporting product from the distribution center by driving a tractor-trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading product according to customer invoices and Dawn team standards.

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

What Does It Take to be a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

• Class "A" CDL License in good standing
• Minimum of 6 months Class A Commercial driving experience
• Ability to work in the United States
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout work shift
• Ability to operate MHE equipment
• Experience delivering into food service accounts is preferred
• Lift-gate, reefer, electric pallet jack and forklift experience helpful
• Computer skills or experience with electronic logs helpful

What will you do as a CDL Class A Driverat Dawn Foods?

• Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating, recording and safe food handling procedures
• Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner
• In a DSD (direct store delivery) setting, break down product and complete shelf stacking at each stop
• Driving and maintaining multi-temp trailers
• Offloading with electric pallet jacks/two wheelers
• Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries

• Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
• Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS-monitored vehicle.
• Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, wheat, and soy.
