Position Summary

Battle Transport, LLC is seeking an experienced, safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to support dedicated local freight operations in the Houston, Texas area. This position involves operating tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles, while maintaining dependable service, timely deliveries, and compliance with applicable transportation regulations.

We are looking for a professional driver who takes pride in their equipment, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of maintaining scheduled freight operations.

This is a local driving opportunity with home-daily availability and consistent runs for qualified drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial tractor-trailer combinations, including double trailers, on assigned local routes.
• Complete scheduled pickups, deliveries, and trailer exchanges in accordance with dispatch instructions.
• Properly couple and uncouple trailers, inspect connections, and verify equipment is secure before departure.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation.
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, terminal personnel, and customers.
• Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance to support scheduled operations.
• Protect company and customer equipment from preventable damage.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience.
• Current doubles/triples (T) endorsement.
• Ability to meet DOT driver qualification requirements, including a valid medical certification.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and driving history consistent with company and applicable carrier requirements.
• Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform coupling and uncoupling procedures.
• Ability to meet applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Dependable transportation and ability to report to assigned Houston-area locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of verifiable CDL Class A driving experience.
• Previous doubles or LTL linehaul experience.
• Experience with drop-and-hook or scheduled terminal-to-terminal operations.
• Familiarity with Houston-area roadways and freight terminals.
• Strong record of on-time performance, safe driving, and equipment care.

Compensation & Schedule

• Expected weekly earnings of $800–$1,000 based on assigned runs and workload.
• Local Houston-area routes.
• Monday–Saturday runs available, based on operational needs.
• Home nightly.
• Consistent freight opportunities, subject to customer demand and scheduling.
