Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply seeks a professional delivery driver to operate tractor-trailer units and deliver electrical materials to our contractor yards and job sites. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate with dispatch to keep routes efficient.

Required are a CDL Class A license, DOT medical certification, and at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean MV record.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license is required.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean MV record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Knowledge of air brake systems preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer with manual transmission on assigned routes.
• Deliver electrical materials accurately and on time to job sites and yards.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections each shift.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and branch operations to prevent delays.
• Assist with loading/unloading and staging freight as needed.
