Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Combination Driver/Dockworker in West Monroe, LA. The role supports loading/unloading freight, safe delivery between service centers, and adherence to DOT guidelines.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely service within a team-focused OD family environment. Truck driving experience with a Class A CDL and the ability to pass drug and alcohol tests is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must read, write, speak English and perform basic math.
• Valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must have 12 months previous tractor-trailer driving experience or completion of OD Truck Driver Training program.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift or manually in compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Deliver freight between service centers and customer locations.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and forms.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
