Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC is seeking a Bulk Delivery Driver to operate diesel tractors safely and deliver products to local and regional customers in a timely, compliant manner.

The role requires CDL Class A, FMCSA knowledge, and the ability to read English and complete paperwork; physical lifting, pallet jack use, and varying shifts including overnights are expected. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and the FMCSA regulations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid FMCSA physical certification with Interstate non-excepted classification within 60 days of entry into the position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) valid for Interstate driving using manual and automatic transmission within 60 days of entry into the position (timeline for a permit, license varies by location).
• Two (2) years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Lifting requirement of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned pre-shift activities to ensure productive shift; review work schedules, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, including load accuracy.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and in-route safety checks per FMCSA regulations.
• Safely operate the tractor-trailer and complete required freight paperwork and cargo signatures.
• Plan trips using maps, GPS, and information to ensure on-time pick-ups and deliveries with proper hours of service logging.
• Load/unload freight at customer locations using pallet jacks and interact with store personnel to maximize volume opportunities.
