Job summary

Woodson Lumber is seeking an experienced CDL driver based in Buffalo, TX. The role requires a Class A or B license and reports to the Store Manager.

This full-time, day-shift position involves transporting goods, route planning, and vehicle maintenance to support our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have proven truck driving experience, the ability to work long hours, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive long hours and meet schedules.
• Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license; clean record.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
• Assist in the yard pulling loads and assisting customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
