Job summary

You will inspect vehicles, plan routes, log hours, and comply with trucking regulations and company policies. A valid Class A or B license is required; adaptability is essential for traffic and weather changes.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive long hours.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, etc).
• Valid Class A or B truck driving license.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical safety and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles driven; retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with trucking rules and company policies; document and report issues.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and assist in the yard as needed.
