Job summary

Keolis Commuter Services is seeking full-time Bus Operator – Fixed Route for MWRTA in Framingham, MA. This on-site role offers a starting rate of $26.77 per hour and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for CDL holders with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements, plus a $2,500 sign-on for non-CDL operators.

As a frontline ambassador, you will deliver safe, courteous, on-time service, handle fare collections, and follow routes and detours.

Qualifications

• Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• 5 years verifiable valid Drivers license required; Massachusetts CDL B or higher with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain a CDL C with Passenger endorsement.
• Must have clean driving record – DMV printout for the last 10 years.
• Must have stable work history.
• CPR, AED and First Aid Certification (Provided by the Company).

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Ensure customers feel welcome; communicate with passengers during service disruptions; provide passengers with assistance; offer information such as schedule.
• Safety: Practice defensive driving; ensure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time performance; be familiar with routing and detours; ADA compliance; operate wheelchair lifts; report incidents.
• Operations: Collect fare media; notify dispatch of fare evasion; perform pre/post-trip inspections; follow deadhead routing; depart routes on-time; perform other duties.
• Physical Demands: Long periods of standing/walking; exposure to heat/cold; exposure to loud noises and fumes.
