Job Description
The Coach Operator reports to the Program Manager and is responsible for following safety protocol, meeting schedules, and transporting corporate employees between various stops.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and report any issues.
- Comply with all traffic laws and federal and state transit regulations.
- Interact with customers and central dispatch team in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to all riders, answering questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays.
- Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two‑way radios or hands‑free devices.

Skills & Physical Demands
- Use route navigation apps and technology knowledge to pick up and drop off customers.
- Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents.
- Safely operate the vehicle without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty‑five minutes.
- Drive in fluctuating weather and terrain.
- Be flexible to work outside of regular days and shifts, including split shift schedules.
- Lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers.

Education & Qualifications
- Hard Requirements: Clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (A or B required); passenger endorsement; air brakes; medical certificate.
- Preferred Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; at least 1 year of driving experience.
