Job summary

WestAir Gases & Equipment Inc. is seeking a safety-focused Bulk Compressed Gas Driver to join our distribution team in Milpitas, CA.

The role involves safely transporting, delivering, and transferring bulk compressed gases to customer locations, while complying with DOT regulations and company safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and experience handling compressed gases, delivering excellent customer service, and working independently in a

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Minimum two years of commercial delivery driving experience with tractor-trailer.
• Experience transporting compressed gases or hazardous materials preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Route deliveries efficiently and in logical order.
• Use electronic handheld scanner for in/out processing.
• Verify cylinders against shipments and truck load.
• Check manifest accuracy against shippers and on truck.
• Ensure proper placards and weight compliance for gases.
• Secure loads and verify proper handling of cylinders.
• Perform and document pre/post vehicle inspections.
• Communicate issues to the distribution manager.
• Follow all DOT/state driver rules and electronic logbook requirements.
• Record lot numbers accurately for deliveries.
• Assist with same-day deliveries upon return to yard.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
