Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is hiring a CDL Boiler Operator for pipeline rehabilitation. The role focuses on operating truck-mounted boilers for CIPP lining, assisting with liner installs, and maintaining equipment. Per diem travel is expected with company-provided hotels.

The position requires a Class B CDL with a clean driving record, knowledge of confined spaces and construction safety, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. We value teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction field is required.
• Valid Class B CDL License with a good driving record over the last 3 years.
• Knowledge in confined space entry, CIPP lining, and construction safety.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck-mounted Boilers for curing of CIPP Liners on various pipelines.
• Assist with installation of CIPP liners and reestablishment of sewer services.
• Set up of CIPP equipment (hoses, inverters, traffic control and related gear).
• Travel is expected with per diem and hotels provided by the company.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Work effectively in a team and be on your feet for long days.
• Work inside manhole structures when required.
• Complete CDL pre/post inspections on vehicles.

Our Drivers are working drivers. When not operating a CDL vehicle, the role of the CDL Technician is to work effectively with supervisors and all members of the crew to ensure successful inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes.

Your responsibilities as a Boiler Operator :

• Learning andoperatingof truck mounted Boilers for curing of CIPP Liners for Lining operations onvarious typesof pipelines.
• Assistwith installation of CIPP liners, and reinstatement of sewer service laterals
• Set up of CIPP Equipment. (Hoses, Inverters, Traffic control and equipment directly associated with installation of CIPP Liners.
• Travel is expected (per diem and hotels provided by the company)
• Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to work long days on your feet.
• Ability to work inside of Manhole structures.
• Emptying of liner debris (trash) out of reefer trucks into dumpster
• Ability to do CDL Pre/Post CDL Inspections on Vehicles
• Maintaining/Checking fluids in Boiler Trucks
• Ability tomaintainTemps and pressures while processing liners
• Ability to use/learn how tooperatepower tools (Grinders, Sawzall, Etc.)

What we need from you (our requirements)

• Experience working in the construction fieldrequired
• Ability to do CDL Pre/Post CDL inspections on vehicles
• Valid Class B CDL Licensewithgood drivingrecord over the last 3 years
• Knowledge in confined space entry, CIPP Lining, and construction safety
• Must have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to enter onto federal installations to conduct work
• Assistcrew with the setup, install and cleanup of all Liner installs
• Strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stooptouse hand tools

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
