Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL required (Class A or B) with air-brake endorsement.
• 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Mechanical knowledge; painting and welding experience a plus; able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle per Atlas Disposal safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document DVIR checks.
• Use computerized tablet to track route progress and landfill info.
• Report unsafe situations and incidents to Supervisor or Dispatch.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to improve route efficiency and service levels.
• Notify Dispatch of service interruptions or customer requests.
