Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Environmental Driver Specialist CDLB to travel to customer sites, handle waste packaging, transport, and disposal in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role emphasizes safety, paperwork accuracy, and customer service on each stop.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, pre/post-trip inspections, DOT-compliant routing, and safe operation of forklifts and equipment while delivering services across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age per FMCSA guidelines.
• Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card.
• HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsement preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
• 1+ years route driving experience preferred.
• 1+ years waste industry experience preferred.
• Experience with straight trucks, or combo vehicles and roll-off bins/boxes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers for shipment.
• Load/unload materials at customer sites and Clean Earth locations.
• Label and transport waste safely according to regulations and guidelines.
• Complete route paperwork, manifests, and BOLs as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Follow DOT hours of service and route schedules.
• Deliver services to various industries and provide high customer service.
• Operate forklift and other equipment; maintain safety and housekeeping.
