Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver-CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck, service customers on a defined route, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Daily vehicle inspections and accurate reporting are required to maintain operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy and report any safety issues.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site, following route sheets and instructions from the dispatcher.
• Load refuse, operate the packer and dispose of material at the facility while following safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure timely, professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures, monitor waste quality, and keep equipment clean.
• Maintain required productivity standards and complete reports such as route sheets and VCRs.
• Follow all safety policies, participate in ReSOP program, and perform other duties as assigned.
