Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role requires pre- and post-operation inspections and adherence to safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and company policies, while maintaining high levels of customer service on daily routes.

The driver will report to the dispatcher and ensure vehicle readiness, complete necessary reports, and uphold safety and efficiency across all service calls.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B or higher with air brakes endorsement.
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Strong safety and regulatory compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle per policy to ensure safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on assigned routes and service each customer as identified by the route sheet or dispatcher.
• Load refuse, operate the packer and dispose of material at the designated facility per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure routes are serviced professionally and on time.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports; monitor vehicle and waste quality; adhere to safety standards.
