Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck on a scheduled route and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

Responsibilities include performing pre/post inspections, loading refuse, interacting with customers, and maintaining productivity while upholding safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement required.
• Maintains safety compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to report vehicle issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning.
• Safely operate the designated route and service each customer as instructed by the dispatcher.
• Operate control systems to load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per policy.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports daily.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Participate in the company’s ReSOP program and perform other duties as assigned.
