Job summary

Republic Services in Evansville, IN seeks a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver reliable waste removal services. You will perform pre/post inspections, load waste, and ensure compliance with safety rules on every run.

Responsibilities include courteous customer interaction, accurate reporting, and maintaining vehicle readiness. The role requires a valid CDL-B with air brakes and a strong safety mindset, with opportunities for benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer services skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Good follow through ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on assigned routes and service customers.
• Load refuse using controls and dispose at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and staff daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them accordingly.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean the packer blade and body.
• Complete route productivity sheets and VCRs as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
