Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. The role requires adherence to safety standards, pre/post-trip inspections, and accurate reporting of vehicle conditions.

You will follow route sheets, service multiple customers daily, and maintain professional customer interactions. The position offers full-time employment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Valid CDL with air brakes endorsement required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety equipment and gauges are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor according to safety policies and procedures.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean spills following safety standards.
• Maintain and report on vehicle condition to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Complete required route productivity sheets and VCRs; adhere to productivity standards.
