Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-B driver to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services to customers. The role requires pre- and post-operation inspections, adherence to safety standards, and timely route execution.

The position involves loading refuse, operating the compactor, and disposing materials at the proper facility, while maintaining open communication with dispatch and customers to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safe operation and report safety issues.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on assigned routes and service each customer as identified.
• Read route sheets and follow dispatcher instructions to complete service.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of materials at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers to ensure timely service.
• Complete required route productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports as required.
