Overview

Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for our Michigan City, IN location. Candidates with either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with Air Brake Endorsement will be considered. Flatbed with moffett and/or boom truck experience is desired, but training is available.

Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and physically unload material per customer requests.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.

Requirements & Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
• Flatbed with moffett and/or boom truck experience desired, but training available
• Ability to drive a manual transmission
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Heavy lifting experience
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen

Physical & Work Requirements

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material; some lifting over 100 lbs. required
• Loading trucks with material for deliveries within DOT weight-securing regulations
• Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at the warehouse
• Move materials from receiving to designated areas
