Job summary

Richards Building Supply Co. is hiring a CDL Class A or B Driver at our Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL location.

The driver will safely deliver products to job sites, unload materials upon request, and manage warehouse receiving, loading, and inventory processing. Requirements include 2 years of CDL Class A driving or 1 year CDL B, DOT medical card, clean driving record, ability to lift heavy loads, and passing a background/DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• 2 years CDL Class A driving experience or 1 year CDL B driving experience
• Moffett and/or knuckleboom operating experience desired, but will train
• Ability to drive a manual transmission
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Heavy lifting experience
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to job sites safely and unload material per customer requests

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class A or B Driver for our Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL Location.

Opportunity to learn industry equipment such as the Moffett and the Knuckleboom

Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to the job site and physically unloading material per the customer's request as well as receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

2 years CDL Class A driving experience required or 1 year CDL B driving experience.

Requirements:

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes with a boom truck.
• Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.

$26 - $28 an hour

Compensation is based on knowledge of our business and years of experience.
