Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Route Driver in Perry, FL who will deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers, load and unload cylinders, and support counter sales of medical and industrial gases and related equipment. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and hands-on physical work.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a 7:30am start, home daily, and a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain valid driver's license, medical card, and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions in last 3 years or comparable.
• No DUI or substance abuse in last 7 years.
• Must work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to lift 75 lbs regularly and move >125 lbs with equipment.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in last 5 years or trucking school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers.
• Support deliveries in a timely manner.
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders.
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart.
• Frequent in/out movements of the vehicle.
