Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver – CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers on assigned routes. The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of route reports and VCRs.

Employee responsibilities include courteous customer interactions, strict compliance with company policies, and active participation in the ReSOP program.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route and service each customer on the route sheet.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of waste at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports as required.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely customer service.
