Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver CDL (B) to safely operate a heavy trash collection truck on assigned routes in Ohio. You will perform inspections, comply with safety regulations, and provide courteous service to customers while ensuring on-time pickups and accurate reporting.

Successful candidates hold a Class B CDL with air brakes, demonstrate strong time management and should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• High safety standards and daily vehicle inspections.
• Excellent customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper function and safety.
• Safely operate a collection truck along a designated route and service customers on schedule.
• Load refuse using the packer and dispose at the designated facility according to policy.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and staff to ensure timely service.
• Complete required reports and forms, including VCRs and productivity sheets.
