Job summary

Meridian Waste is seeking a Residential Driver in Jacksonville, FL to safely operate a collection truck on assigned routes, perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.

You will load and compact refuse, service customers professionally, maintain accurate route and vehicle reports, and work with dispatchers to keep daily operations efficient and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Two years of experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate a collection truck along designated routes.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers.
• Maintain route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
