Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver- CDL (B) in Covington, KY to safely operate a collection truck and deliver courteous waste removal services. You will ensure vehicle readiness and compliance with safety standards before operation, while completing daily vehicle condition reports.

The role requires adherence to company safety policies, proactive communication with customers, and a minimum two years of experience driving commercial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified by the dispatcher or supervisor.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others daily to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste and respond to spills following safety standards.
