Job summary

Relief Driver - CDL B with Republic Services, Inc. is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and delivering prompt waste removal services to customers on designated routes in Felton, DE.

The role requires pre/post-trip inspections, adherence to safety policies, and strong customer interaction with dispatchers and coworkers. Minimum qualifications include a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and at least two years of experience driving commercial trucks.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and clean driving record.
• Minimum two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Strong customer service and safety awareness.
• Ability to follow route sheets and work with dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper operation.
• Safely operate the truck along the assigned route and service each customer as indicated by the route sheet.
• Load and unload refuse, operate the packer, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to maintain timely service.
• Complete required reports and maintain productivity standards while following safety policies.
