Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Relief Driver with a Class B CDL to safely operate a collection truck in Alabama, ensuring vehicle safety checks and daily reports while delivering prompt waste removal services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service customers.
• Operate controls to load refuse, run the compactor, and dispose material.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers daily.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Clean area after spills following safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime and clean equipment.
• Complete route productivity sheets, VCRs and reports.
• Meet productivity standards to service customers timely.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
