Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. seeks a Relief Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt waste removal services. You will complete daily vehicle condition reports and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities include pre/post inspections, route service, customer interaction, and adherence to safety procedures. Eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement required.
• Good customer services skills and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service each customer.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor according to safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and respond to spills safely.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and minimize downtime; clean areas after disposal trips.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and VCRs.
