Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Delivery Driver to operate propane delivery and bulk plant equipment in Georgetown, DE. This role offers a sign-on bonus and end-of-season bonus, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for advancement.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, deliver propane, manage paperwork, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction. Valid CDL B with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements is required, along with 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid CDL B license with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
• Working knowledge of bulk plant and bulk truck equipment.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles, telephones, calculators and tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Aufgaben

• Operate truck and delivery equipment safely.
• Deliver propane gas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Document findings and take action on inspections.
• Prepare and maintain DOT documentation.
• Observe traffic rules and defensive driving.
• Deliver propane gas safely and cost-effectively.
• Record deliveries, meter readings and tank percentages.
• Check customer credit before deliveries when on call.
• Collect payments and disconnect gas service as directed.
• Inform Delivery Manager of inventory levels and maintenance needs.
• Prepare driver settlement reports daily and verify balances.
• Inspect bulk plants and equipment and report issues.
