Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a delivery driver for the 1st shift in San Antonio, TX. The role involves daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading at each stop, and operating a straight truck or similar vehicle.

Responsibilities include ensuring on-time routes, loading product, and maintaining safety and accuracy with customer signatures. Prior route delivery experience and a CDL-B are required, with English proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required or equivalent.
• One year of route delivery experience or driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License - Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, to designated storage areas.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75 lbs, up to 100 lbs; stack pallets.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate errors/returns.
• Handle short shipments and customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and Sysco policies.
