Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class B CDL Driver in Vista, CA to deliver equipment to customers safely and promptly while providing excellent service. You will be home every night through local routes and act as a brand ambassador with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, maintaining logs, pre-trip inspections, and advising customers on equipment needs. Training, growth opportunities, and inclusive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“rollbacks” or “dove tails”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs
• Other duties assigned as needed
