Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Bladensburg, MD, is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and professionally to customers, with opportunities for career advancement. You will be home nightly and act as a company ambassador providing top-notch service.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of DOT-regulated driving experience. You will perform pre-trip inspections, logs, and help meet customers' needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (rollbacks or dove tails) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
