Job summary

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is seeking a CDL Class B driver to pick up and deliver food and related items across Eastern Michigan, representing the organization to donors and partners while adhering to safety and food handling standards.

You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain records, load and unload cargo, and support warehouse operations, while delivering excellent customer service to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Michigan CDL Class B.
• Current and maintained DOT/Medical Card.
• Serv Safe and Civil Rights training completed and recertified when certifications expire.

Responsibilities

• Execute product donation pick-ups and deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with donors and agency partners.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle records.
• Safely load and unload company vehicles; follow proper lifting techniques.
• Complete documentation related to shipping, receiving, unloading and warehousing.
