C&M Forwarding Company in Rochester, NY is seeking a Driver to transport customer product safely and on time. You will plan routes, maintain logs, and ensure customer satisfaction with every delivery.

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, along with the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment. The shift runs 9am–6pm EDT with pay between $20 and $21 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport and deliver items safely and timely.
• Review orders before/after delivery for accuracy and charges.

• Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints.
• Follow routes, schedules, and transportation laws; maintain records.
• Operate vehicles and equipment as needed.

Description

We are looking for a Driver to transport customer product in a safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and managing payments. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Shift Schedule

9am - 6pm EDT

Pay Range

$20.00 per hour - $21.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Accepting payments for delivered items.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid driver's license
• A clean driving record
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
• Familiarity with GPS devices
  • Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
  • Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
  • A polite and professional disposition
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
  • A high school diploma
