Job summary

QXO in West Barnstable, MA is seeking a driver to perform touch-freight tasks, load and unload materials, and maintain site safety. A valid Class B CDL and 12 months of verifiable driving experience are required, with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

You will coordinate with the dispatcher, adhere to DOT safety procedures, and contribute to a safe loading/unloading process while supporting a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
