Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate for our Charlotte, NC location.

The role requires a CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement, with Moffett and flatbed experience preferred and overtime on Saturdays possible. Responsibilities include safely delivering to job sites, unloading materials, receiving shipments, processing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement is required.
• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission and lift 50–100 lbs.
• Clean driving record and DOT compliance.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

Job description

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate for our Charlotte, NC location. Eligible candidates may hold either a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with an Air Brake Endorsement. Flatbed and Moffett experience are desired, and overtime on Saturdays may be available as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and physically unload materials per customer requests.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Unload shingles on single‑ and two‑story homes.
• Provide superior customer service at all interactions.
• Double‑check all loads for accuracy and ensure they are thoroughly secured for delivery.
• Support warehouse operations including shipping/receiving.
• Move materials and items from receiving to designated area.
• Pull orders for walk‑in customers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience.
• Consistently able to lift 50–100 lbs. of material throughout the day; occasionally lifting over 100 lbs. required.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations on securing and distributing weight limits.
• Provide customer service and verify load accuracy.
• Maintain a clean driving record.

• Strong preference for Moffett and flatbed operating experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card.
