Job summary

Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate for our Charlotte, NC location.

The role requires a CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement, with Moffett and flatbed experience preferred and overtime on Saturdays possible. Responsibilities include safely delivering to job sites, unloading materials, receiving shipments, processing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement is required.
• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission and lift 50–100 lbs.
• Clean driving record and DOT compliance.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and unload per customer requests.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Unload shingles on residential roofs and ensure load security.
• Provide superior customer service at interactions.
• Double-check loads for accuracy and secure them properly.
• Support warehouse operations including shipping/receiving.
• Move materials from receiving to designated areas and pull orders.

Job description

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate for our Charlotte, NC Location. Can have either CDL Class A or CDL Class B License with Air Brake Endorsement.

Flatbed And Moffett Experience Desired.

Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to the job site and physically unloading material per the customer's request as well as receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

Requirements

1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience required

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes
• Providing superior customer service
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Providing warehouse support including shipping/receiving
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area
• Pulling order for walk-in customers
• Must have a clean driving record

• Must be at least 21 years of age
