Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) in Linthicum Heights, MD to safely deliver compressed gas cylinders from a branch or plant location. You will manage the flow of cylinders, build relationships with customers, and uphold Airgas safety standards.

Qualified candidates have a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401(k) with company match; parental leave and paid

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL and Hazmat endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of Class A/B driving experience within the last 5 years with a clean driving record (or equivalent driving school diploma).
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pickups on a load manifest and obtain customer signatures.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to SAFECOR and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
• Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
