Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc is seeking a CDL Driver - Automated Side Load Driver to safely service routes across residential, commercial, and municipal clients. You will operate an Automated Side Load Driver, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure top-tier customer service while upholding safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an Automated Side Load Driver on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials per procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or delays promptly.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Utilize onboard technology to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.
• Assist teammates or other operational needs as directed by management.
• Follow all DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service representing Coastal.

Your Role

As a CDL Driver -Automated Side Load Driver you'll safely operate a Automated Side Load Driver while servicing customers along assigned routes. You'll be responsible for safely collecting, transporting, delivering, or servicing materials while providing outstanding customer service and representing Coastal professionally every day.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a Automated Side Load Driver on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers based on assigned route.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials in accordance with operational procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or route delays promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Utilize onboard technology and electronic devices to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.

What You’ll Bring

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter/exit equipment throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require.
