Job summary

The Fred Smith Company is seeking an experienced CDL truck driver for an Asphalt Tack Truck Driver role in North Carolina. Local candidates preferred. Pay will be commensurate with experience, with benefits after 90 days including health, dental, vision insurance and paid time off.

Essential duties include following safety policies, operating equipment efficiently, and maintaining DOT logbooks. A valid Class A or B CDL and medical certificate are required, with endorsements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A or B CDL license
• Current medical examiner's certificate
• Endorsements if applicable to the position
• Experience in asphalt paving preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and protect traveling public
• Operate tack truck equipment efficiently and follow supervision instructions
• Monitor equipment and perform DOT logbook requirements and maintenance
