Job summary

Maple Leaf Farms Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to safely shuttle and position tractor-trailers across Maple Leaf Farms and Serenade campuses in Indiana.

You will connect and disconnect trailers, perform yard movements, and support transportation operations in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Certificate, 1–3 years CMV experience, ability to read English, and a commitment to safety, logs, and routine inspections.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Class A CDL
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• 1-3 years of experience operating a Class A CMV
• Ability to safely maneuver, connect, disconnect, and shuttle trailers
• Working knowledge of DOT requirements and safe transportation practices
• Basic computer skills and ability to use ELDs, GPS, onboard computers, radios
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English and complete accurate records
• Dependability, punctuality, flexibility, and clear communication
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Indiana Class A CDL required for out-of-state CDL transfers

Responsibilities

• Safely shuttle and position tractors between locations.
• Connect and disconnect trailers and maneuver equipment in yards.
• Complete yard checks and record equipment locations and status.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report safety concerns.
• Monitor and replenish fuel, DEF, and other vehicle fluids.
• Maintain driver logs and ELD records.
• Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, transportation and production teams.
• Use pressure-washing equipment to clean trailers and keep equipment clean.
• Follow DOT requirements, safety procedures, and biosecurity protocols.
