Job summary

DFA is seeking a Class A Yard/Plant Driver to join their team in Vermont. You will drive and position trucks and trailers within yard and dock areas to support shipping, receiving, and related operations.

Responsibilities include moving trailers, hooking/unhooking, inspecting equipment, logging movements, loading/unloading with a pallet jack, and keeping the yard clean and safe in line with DOT and GMP guidelines. A CDL-A license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A license in state of residence; tanker endorsement if needed.
• Meet all DOT requirements and DV/ MV record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers and trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
• Hook, unhook and reposition trailers around dock areas.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement logs.
• Load/unload trailers using forklift or pallet jack; operate wash bay if needed.
• Ensure yard remains clean and sanitary and follow safety policies.
