Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a dedicated truck driver to move and position trailers in yards and dock areas, supporting shipping and receiving functions. The role involves inspections, sanitation, and occasional over-the-road routes.

Qualified candidates hold a current CDL Class A, meet DOT requirements, and can operate wash bays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required, with prior trailer experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• CDL Class A license current; tanker endorsement if needed.
• Must meet DOT and DFA MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer movement to optimize plant/warehouse efficiency.
• Hook, unhook and move trucks to service and dock areas.
• Spot/load trailers at dock spaces for unloading/loading.
• Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for drivers.
• Maintain trailer and inventory movement logs.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and maintain area sanitation.
• Wash exterior of trucks/trailers when required.
• Adhere to DFA Quality, Safety, DOT and GMP policies.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as required.
