Dexter is seeking a Yard Driver to safely move trailers around the yard and support efficient warehouse operations. You will position trailers at docks, coordinate with drivers, and perform inspections in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A, safety-mindedness, and reliable attendance. Opportunity for overtime exists while contributing to a responsible, team-driven workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work instructions in English.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Safety-focused with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently without constant supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Good communication with warehouse staff and drivers.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and time management.
• Willingness to work overtime, including occasional 12-hour days.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from dock doors, staging areas, and designated yard locations.
• Position trailers correctly and secure them safely at loading docks.
• Communicate with warehouse teams and drivers to coordinate trailer moves.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard trucks and equipment.
• Track and record trailer locations and movements.
• Operate yard trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Follow all company, DOT, and safety procedures at all times.
