Job summary

Glen-Gery in Omaha, NE is hiring an experienced Driver/Yard Worker to assist with daily yard functions and deliver materials to job sites in a heavy GVW vehicle. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing loads, and maintaining equipment following DOT safety standards.

The role requires a CDL Class A with Air Brakes, a high school diploma or technical trade, and 1–2 years of material handling/delivery experience.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with Air Brakes required.
• High school diploma, GED or Technical Trade.
• 1–2 years material handling and/or delivery experience in building products preferred.
• Safety conscious with ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive delivery tickets, load trucks, drive to job sites, and unload materials.
• Ensure load is properly secured to prevent breakage or damage.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans upon delivery.
• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound orders
• Operate powered industrial equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain equipment and keep maintenance records up to date.
• Follow route and time schedule.
• Responsible for loading the truck properly, safely, and legally.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
• Track and report working hours.
• Assist with month-end physical inventories, and resolve any discrepancies
• Other duties as assigned as needed
