Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. in Waterloo, IA is seeking a part-time Truck Driver to support donation and logistics operations. The role requires a valid Iowa CDL Class A for tractor-trailer over 20 tons, loading/unloading, and compliance with Iowa traffic laws.

You will perform light warehouse tasks, operate a forklift, inspect equipment, and maintain excellent customer service while coordinating with the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Iowa CDL Class A license for operation of tractor-trailer over 20 tons.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to fifty pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks according to daily schedule and orders.
• Transports shipment to destination within Iowa truck traffic laws and regulations.
• Completes daily equipment inspection and documents appropriately; reports equipment failures.
• Greets Donation Drive Volunteers and ensures a good donor experience.
• Donations distributed to proper area and donation count recorded accurately.
• Offers tax receipt form to each donor.
• Sorts material so 95% unsaleable items are redirected to garbage or salvage.
• Theft prevention through alertness and reporting suspicious activity.
• Assists with snow shoveling, light bulb replacements, window washing and upkeep.
• Advises and demonstrates all job duties for new team members.
• Maintains top-flight condition of facilities/equipment through housekeeping and safety.
• Works collaboratively to maximize service opportunities and continuous improvement.
• Helps prepare outgoing truck loads including baling, sorting, forklift operation.
